Echinacea purpurea, or the purple coneflower, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Echinacea. This distinctive looking plant is native to the Eastern United States but can now be found all across the United States.

Appearance
The purple coneflower, as the name indicates, is both purple and shaped like a cone; however, it is important to note that the purple coneflower can be found in other colors including white and orange. There is no denying its distinctive look, and the flower has an unmistakable charm. Looking something like the prototype of an idyllic flower, the purple coneflower is an excellent pick of any garden area.
